Pumpkins, Horses, Shoes, and Ghosts!!

Ah so I didn't get to post much in the last few weeks. As always we are busy busy busy. This may be a bit long so that is my disclaimer. This is to catch us all up.

First things first. I was beginning to download the pics from my camera when I noticed some photos that I did not take. Hmmm who could that have been. I think it was our friendly ghost who takes our things and this time just managed to take some photos of my kids.

First phantom photo is Austin in his little chinese garb. The outfit is so adorable on him.

Second phantom photo is of some crazy Redskin fans. No wonder this was taken while mommy was away. (She's a niners fan!)

Even this random ghost can't get them both to look at the camera at the same time.

So we finally made it to the pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins and of course mommy does not take a picture of the pumpkins. Just the wagon ride for the kids. So we have cousin Ryan, Austin, Aunt Caitlin, and Derek all riding in the wagon. If you look closely enough you can see a small pumpkin with them. Normally going to the pumpkin patch we take a hayride but due to the rain on that morning both the corn maze and the hayride were closed. Oh well maybe next year kids. Although we did get some yummy apple cider and a great pumpkin.
This is Derek and Caitlin in front of the hen house at the pumpkin patch. They also saw some calves and other baby animals.

Now we are caught up to this weekend. Now I am the bad mommy who forgot her camera for trick or treating. It went great this year. Derek had so much candy that I had to carry his bucket towards the end. It was too heavy for him. Even though I do not have pictures (don't worry grandma did take some) the boys were dressed up. Derek was Bob the Builder and Austin was a little dalmation puppy. Austin rode around in a wagon while Derek and Caitlin went house to house. It was great. This is Derek's second year trick or treating. We waited until he was 3 so this year at 4 made it so much more fun. He ran house to house. More because he was trying to keep up with Caitlin. Austin enjoyed his ride and had a lollipop for the whole ride. It was cute watching him try and figure out what to do with it. He figured it out with no problems.
So as the kids were recovering from their Sugar highs on Friday night, Saturday Caitlin turned 6. She decided she wanted a horse party. It turned out great. The kids rode the horses and played some games. I even got to get back on a horse. It has been about 3 years for me but it all came back with no problems. Wish it could have been longer "sigh" Oh well maybe next time. So below are pics from the bday girls party. The above photo is of Caitlin on her horse. Of course she is decked out in pink, her fav color. My little sis is getting so big!!!

Here is Derek on a horse. He loved it and we couldn't get him to stop when it was time for games.
So this was the first weekend with Austin wearing shoes. He did so great with them, but he wouldn't keep the cowboy hat on so Daddy made him look like a thug instead. Lets hope this isn't the path he is headed for.
